Let's pray some, moral musings

World day of the Sick, 2015

“I was eyes to the blind, and feet to the lame” (Job 29:15)

On this day that the universal Church celebrates those who exemplify a burden which we all carry at one time or the other, our sick brethren, we join hearts together and lift our hands in prayers for them all. May we be succor to our brothers and sisters who suffer any form of illness. May we realize in a special way today that these brethren represent a special group of people in the Lord’s ministry. (cf. Catechism of the Church, 1499ff)

Do spare some time to read Pope Francis’ message for this day.
