The great role of the mother needs no gloss. You have been instrumental in the hands of God, raising your children with valour and courage. Through thick and thin, you were there for us. Thank you mum as you celebrate your 75th birthday. If I was not privy to your birth date, I would have thought it was your 55th!
Sure you could not have gone this far without being grafted to the true Vine Himself whom, conicidentally, we celebrate specially today in the liturgy. From him, and living with dad, you have learnt to appropiate the words of the good Book “your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.” (Psalm 128:3)
I just wish to say thank you mum, I could not possibly say it enough. Happy birthday from all of your children, natural and extended, and from all friends near and far.
